Our Apple IT support is by Dean Ingram

Dean began his career like many Macintosh users. “I have a degree in commercial art, which is how I became attached to the Macs. I've found it to be a great help with my graphic designer clients to be able to understand their problems and workflow. I provide support for graphics applications (though I am not certified in any way for them). I worked in ad agencies and printing before going technical.”

And technical he has become! Dean is an Apple Authorized Reseller and has a Limited Apple Authorized Service Provider status. Dean can do warranty work on the Apple products he sells.

Dean is a member of the Apple Consultants Network (ACN). Membership requires at least the Apple Help Desk certification. However, Dean far exceeds the Help Desk certification since he tests annually to maintain his certifications of:
Certified Desktop
Certified Portable Technician.
Technical Coordinator certification (10.4) (ACTC)
System Administrator certification (ACSA)

(The ACTC does not expire for OS X 10.4.)

Like most certifications, Dean has to maintain a certain number of training credits to keep things current. For example, last summer he passed both the Security Best Practices and the Directory Services and Integration exams.

Being a reseller and an AASP gives Dean excellent access to technical information that may not be available to other techs or even other Apple Consultants

Dean now features an elaborate clientele that not includes Advertising, publishing, and art but hospitals, Financial institutions and small business of all kinds.

Dean’s dedication to servicing his clients is apparent in this quote, “Certifications are a great yardstick but its good service that keeps the customers. I never abandon clients and I don't give easily on problems. I know I'm the equivalent of a car payment or worse when I show up to fix a problem so I give the clients everything I have.”
